Dear Friends:

“When it comes to sharing something as personal as your writing – proceed with caution.”  Rosemary said this to Elizabeth in the series, When Calls the Heart. Yes, I watch that show, and yes, I know, I need a life.

Writing makes us vulnerable, and unless I’m writing an informational piece, my writing comes directly from my heart, which makes me vulnerable I guess.  Most of what I will share are pieces I’ve written throughout the course of the last several years.  I love to journal and many of my stories come from these journal entries.  However, I will also be sharing more recent writing to help encourage families during this challenging time.

“Lessons Learned in the Living Room” are just that; they are lessons I have learned, through the years.  If it’s one thing I have learned it is that the more I learn, the less I know.  I strongly encourage you to hit the delete button liberally, if you wish.  On the other hand, feel free to share if you think someone you know might benefit from something I have written.

I thank you all – each and every one of you – my wonderful family, friends, and clients who have signed up for this blog, which will be a potpourri of sorts.  These pages will contain personal vignettes, letters, workshop snippets, informational lists, newsletters, announcements, and even some videos, or vlogs, I think they are called.  Whatever I share, I hope it serves to comfort or inspire, as that is my primary purpose.

Today, in the midst of what is going on in our world, I wish you peace, and cherished time with family.  Today, I am choosing to be grateful, and thank God for what I do have, because I have learned that when I am grateful, I am hopeful.

With love while learning,

Terri

PS: Tomorrow, I will share a list of some SIMPLE things you can do with your kids while home together.  Soon, I hope to share my gratitude list as well.
